Information about A/C cleaner
Air conditioner cleaner car products are convenient agents specially designed to clean your car's air conditioner. This way, you remove the foul odors that come from the ventilation when you turn on your air conditioner in the car. Over time, bacteria and dust particles can begin to accumulate in the ventilation ducts and in the air conditioning system. These can begin to cause very unpleasant odors on hot days when you turn on your air conditioner. As a result, the whole car will start to smell. And this cannot always be masked by simply using an air freshener or hanging it in the car.
Fortunately, you can remedy this with air conditioner cleaner auto products. These products are designed specifically for the automotive market to clean ventilation and air conditioning systems and remove these foul odors. These products are made specifically to remove air conditioning odors, though. If you just have foul odors in the car then the cause may be somewhere else such as dirt in the carpet. For this you can use a car upholstery cleaner, for example. It can also be that there is simply a cigarette smell in the car. This is best removed with an odor remover. We focus here specifically on the foul odors that can only be detected when you turn on the air conditioning and that do come from the ventilation systems.
There are typically 2 types of A/C cleaner car products. There is a simple do it yourself product that looks like a spray can of deodorant. To do this, you put the ventilation on its coldest setting and turn on the air conditioner and let it blow as hard as possible. Then you press the button that makes the car keep circulating the air in the interior and close all the windows and doors. After this, you put the product with a microfiber cloth on the center console and press the button. This will automatically keep spraying the aerosol until it is empty. Close the doors and let the product circulate in the interior for about 5 minutes. After that, the spray can is empty and you can let the car air out. This should make the car smell a lot more pleasant and the foul air conditioning odors drastically reduced. or completely gone.
Do you still suffer from foul air conditioner odor? Then you can also use a professional air conditioning cleaner product. This is a spray can that has a hose attached and works much the same way. We just need to remove the interior filter from the car first. These are in different places. Most common is behind or under the glove box. When you have removed the interior filter you will normally see directly on the ventilation line used for the air conditioning system. Again, let the car continue to recycle its air from the interior, turn on the A/C at the coldest temperature and at the highest blower setting. After this you can put a microfiber cloth under the ventilation duct and you can put the hose on the sprayer. After this you are going to bring the hose into the ventilation system and spray the product around. Try moving the hose up and down and from side to side to get an even distribution of the product. Run it out of the vents occasionally and repeat as long as necessary to remove odors. After this, you can simply put the interior filter back in, or buy a new interior filter at an auto parts store and replace it all at once. Sometimes foul odors can also linger in the interior filter. Since the filter was removed anyway, we recommend replacing it all at once to be sure.
Whether you choose the do it yourself option or the professional air conditioner cleaner products. We always have both in stock and are happy to help you with any questions you may have!
