Glass Polish
Information about glass polish
Glass Polish is the answer when you have dirt stuck in your glass or car windows or if you just like to remove small scratches from the glass or car windows. After all, window cleaner is only good for dirt on top of the glass. But sometimes there are small hard particles of dirt that get stuck in the glass and you can't remove with window cleaner and a microfiber cloth.
Glass Polish is specially formulated to be used on glass in conjunction with special pads to be used on glass. These polishing pads are often made of felt and much harder than standard foam polishing pads. The polish is Cerium Oxide based which is completely different from a standard polish. We therefore recommend protecting paintwork when polishing glass to avoid the dust that can be released during polishing from getting onto the paint. These can cause damage since they are extremely hard! A wash with a car shampoo after using a glass polish is always wise.
Glass Polish can remove minor scratches from glass but can never give the same correction as polishing paint. Glass is extremely hard and very difficult to get scratches out of. If you have deep scratches from your windshield wipers then there is also little chance that you can remove them completely. However, you can't make it worse by polishing, so anything you remove is a good thing.
Glass Polish is basically not difficult to use. Only that it is manual (almost) lost work. We always recommend using a polisher. Otherwise, there is very little chance that you will achieve anything like decent results when polishing by hand. It may also be that your glass polish has a particular preference for being worked on. Some are best used dry and some are best used moist. Always look in the description if there is a recommendation for how to use the product. Always try to avoid heat, though. If too much heat builds up, especially in conjunction with pressure there is a chance that the glass will crack!
Glass Polish is thus an ideal product for detailers who like to remove scratches in detail and want perfectly clear windows. By using the glass polish you can improve visibility which gives a more pleasant feeling and appearance!
